Eswatini Air

Eswatini Air is the small national airline of the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), with scheduled services connecting Manzini's King Mswati III International Airport to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Harare and a handful of other regional cities. For travellers heading specifically to Eswatini for tourism, business or family visits, the airline is the only direct flight option — the practical alternative is a four-hour drive from Johannesburg or a long bus journey. The fleet is a single Embraer regional jet operating the network on a hub-and-spoke basis from Manzini.

Practical notes: South African passport holders do not need a visa for Eswatini for stays of up to thirty days. The airport at Manzini is small, with the entire kerb-to-gate process typically taking under twenty minutes. Eswatini Air's online check-in is functional through the airline's web portal twenty-four hours before departure. Schedules are sparse — most routes operate only a few times a week — so building flexibility into return dates makes a real difference to fare and convenience. For travellers whose end destination is Mbabane, the road transfer from Manzini is roughly forty minutes.
