Flights to Cairo
CAI · Cairo International Airport
Cairo International sits 15km northeast of the city in Heliopolis and is EgyptAir's main hub — the second-busiest airport in Africa after OR Tambo. EgyptAir runs a direct JNB–CAI route several times a week, making it the only nonstop connection between South Africa and North Africa. For South Africans it is the closest air access to the Pyramids, the Nile cruise circuit and the Red Sea coast; it is also a useful connection hub for onward flights to the Middle East and Europe.
