Flights to Dar es Salaam
DAR · Julius Nyerere International Airport
Julius Nyerere International is 13km southwest of Dar es Salaam on Tanzania's Indian Ocean coast, and its Terminal 3 (opened 2019) handles the bulk of wide-body traffic. South African Airways and Airlink fly from Johannesburg, but many travellers also reach Dar via Ethiopian or Kenya Airways. It is the main entry for the Zanzibar archipelago (a 20-minute hop), Selous and Ruaha safari parks, and the overland starting point for Mount Kilimanjaro via Arusha.
