Maun Airport sits on the southern edge of the Okavango Delta and is one of the busiest light-aircraft airports in Africa, handling hundreds of bush-plane transfers daily to inland Delta camps. Airlink and Air Botswana fly from Johannesburg, with most passengers connecting onto 12-seat Cessnas that depart Maun for private safari airstrips. It is effectively safari-only traffic — virtually no one flies to Maun except to enter the Delta or Moremi Game Reserve.
