Kenya Airways operates the most logical routing given its JNB hub presence, connecting NBO-JNB-PLZ with through-ticketing available. For travellers flying the reverse - Port Elizabeth to Nairobi - the domestic PE-JNB leg is the first sector, and the connection window at OR Tambo needs to be comfortable enough to clear domestic arrivals, cross to the international terminal, and check in for the Kenya Airways sector.

November is cheapest; July through August peak. The Eastern Cape draws a small but growing number of East African visitors, primarily for Addo Elephant National Park - one of South Africa's largest and most densely populated game reserves - and the Gqeberha beachfront.
